EMILY’s List Endorses Andrea Campbell for Attorney General

“Campbell is a brilliant legal mind dedicated to reforming the legal and criminal justice systems in Massachusetts. She will work to ensure all Bay Staters, regardless of background, are given the full protection and justice served by the law.”

BOSTON – Just days before the Massachusetts Democratic Convention, Andrea Campbell for Attorney General today received a key endorsement from EMILY’s List, a national leader in driving progressive change by winning elections that put Democratic pro-choice women into office.

The endorsement builds on Campbell’s momentum heading into the Convention this weekend. Campbell was the first Democrat Attorney General candidate to submit more than 10,000 signatures to the Secretary of State in order to gain access to the ballot, and her campaign is confident it will meet the 15 percent delegate threshold this weekend.

“EMILY’s List is thrilled to endorse Andrea Campbell for Massachusetts Attorney General,” said Sarah Curmi, Vice President of State and Local Campaigns at EMILY’s List. “Campbell is a brilliant legal mind dedicated to reforming the legal and criminal justice systems in Massachusetts. She will work to ensure all Bay Staters, regardless of background, are given the full protection and justice served by the law.”

“In the neverending fight for equity and justice, we are stronger when we stand united, and I’m deeply grateful to have EMILY’s List stand alongside me in this race for Attorney General,” said Campbell. “As Attorney General, I will be unwavering in my commitment to pushing for greater accountability and transparency in our criminal legal systems, protecting our reproductive rights and access to gender-affirming care, and creating greater opportunity so every family can thrive and prosper.”

Campbell continues to lead in the polls, is ahead of the pack in grassroots fundraising with more than $923,000 raised since launch, 93 percent of which comes from Massachusetts residents, and has earned endorsements from a broad, statewide coalition of supporters.
